- Caldwell's, Hays's, Gregg's and Gordon's reports remain deferred.
- NPS/CWSAC is one family. Humphreys is an interested history by the Army of the Potomac's chief of staff in 1863–64, per his publisher's list. Stuart's, A. P. Hill's and Lee's reports, printed in Official Records Series I, Volume XXIX, Part 1, are separate families of interested Confederate commanders' accounts; the volume is a shared container, not an additional witness. Report dates are not event times or proof of contemporary knowledge.
- No automatic commander attribution, causal campaign score, morale/readiness number or battle/campaign double counting.
